FAQ

Can the public bid on items?
Yes! This auction is not restricted to school family. Anyone in the community can participate and win items they bid on. Feel free to share the auction to your friends and neighbors.

How do I pay for my item?
After the auction ends, the winner will receive an invoice. You can pay by credit card or PayPal.

When and where do I pick up items that I win?
Physical items will be available at the Sir James Douglas school office for pick up. Digital items will be sent to the email address of the auction account. Items must be paid online before receiving it.

What is the difference between proxy bidding and exact bidding?
A proxy bid allows you to enter the maximum amount you’re willing to spend with the goal of winning the item at the lowest possible price. The system will bid for you, up to your maximum proxy bid amount, as additional bids are entered on the item. Rest assured, your maximum proxy bid amount is never exposed to anyone other than you during the online auction. (Details of how it works)

An exact bid is the amount you want the item’s current selling price to immediately jump to. Your bid amount will not change as additional bids are entered on the item.

Will I get notified if I get outbid?
You can get notified via email but you’ll need to turn it on in your 32auctions account settings.
